Editor's review
This is a software tool that makes making a greeting card very use for the user, even inexperienced ones.
Greeting Card Editor lets you use your own digital photographs and lot of supporting decorations to make a nice looking greeting cards and then of course get them printed. Main area of the GUI is the preview of you design. All the controls are in a vertical line on the left of the display area. All these controls are designed as buttons. New and save buttons let you start a design exercise and for saving the final result. Other buttons let you add the design elements to the card layout. You have stats about the input photograph and the output that is being created. You would be able to drag the photos into the design area. You can add frames or masks to enhance the picture as a whole or highlight only a part of the picture you want to show off.
Then there are additional elements that you can use to create a layout that satisfies your creative urge or a visually pleasing design. The supplementary stuff that is available includes flowers, jewelry, icons, text strings etc. What the software has in its library are 220 masks, 100 types of flowers, 110 cartoon figures, 220 frames, 50 icons and 40 jewelry pictures. The composition you create will obviously need some sense of visual arts creation. Only then you are able to come up with nice enough designs every time. However, the program is simple enough for amateurs to create pleasing designs. A deep enough undo/redo levels would have been a nice addition to the interface so that one could recover from mistakes made easily.
